Thanks to its versatile design, Seseragi is one of the most functional and effective bread knives in the world. The excellent properties of this knife are also confirmed by the fact that Seseragi was recognized as the best bread knife in Japan in 2019 (Japanese Bread Knife Contest Winner 2019).
Seseragi effectively cuts through harder crusts as well as soft baked goods. Three different serrations of the cutting blade make the knife unique:
1. Start cutting bakery products with a harder and thicker crust using the large teeth at the front of the blade - they are powerful and effective.
2. To pierce the softer part, use finer cutting teeth - they work effectively even without strong pressure, create significantly less crumbs, ensure a fine and precise cut mark and do not press the bakery product.
3. Make the last cut with the straight blade at the top of the blade. In this way, you separate a slice from a loaf of bread cleanly and precisely, save the cutting teeth of the knife from dulling and do not damage your cutting board either!
The Seseragi bread knife is made of stainless molybdenum-vanadium steel (HRC 58). The handle is light wood.
