5500 series knives are one of the best and long selling knives. The blade is HON-WARIKOMI clad blade made of VG-2 High carbon stainless steel cutting core, sandwiched between SUS410 stainless steel which provides excellent edge retention, HRC 58 or more. The blade is riveted firmly with 2 points on the handle. And the handle is made of black color plywood. Simple handle without bolster is very popular edition.
