When sharpening a knife using a whetstone, the surface of the blade wears unevenly. The leveling stone is designed to level the surface of the whetstone before sharpening, in order to ensure the best possible sharpening result.

Due to its larger dimensions and particularly good abrasive properties, the pink aluminum oxide whetstone leveler is the best choice for leveling synthetic whetstones.

The whetstone screed has a coarse textured surface (#220). Before starting leveling, put the whetstone to be leveled in water for a few minutes. If you wish, you can draw diagonal crosses on the surface of the stone with an ordinary pencil. The stone is leveled when the pencil lines have disappeared during the leveling of the stone.
