Therefore, before starting to sharpen, it is recommended to clean the whetstone with Nagura stone, which removes dirt from the surface of the stone, activates the surface and ensures the best sharpening properties of the whetstone. Keep both the whetstone and the nagura stone in the water for a few minutes before use. Plant the whetstone with a nagura stone and rinse off the dirt and metal parts released from the surface of the stone under water.
